Injuries, X-ray & CT Scan in Da Lat

Da Lat’s hills, wet roads and adventure activities – motorbike touring, canyoning, trekking and mountain biking – mean that minor injuries are a common part of travel here. Phuong Nam Medical Center has X-ray and CT scanning on site at both branches, so the doctor can check for fractures and other injuries during the same visit.

Injuries we see and treat

• Cuts, grazes and road rash – cleaning, dressing and stitches where needed.
• Sprains and strains – ankles, knees, wrists, shoulders and back.
• Suspected fractures – X-ray, splinting and referral if surgery is needed.
• Head knocks without loss of consciousness – examination and CT scan when indicated.
• Burns – including exhaust-pipe burns from motorbikes.
• Infected wounds – a common problem a few days after a fall.

Go to a hospital emergency department or call 115 if:

• The person was knocked out, is confused, drowsy or vomiting repeatedly after a head injury.
• There is heavy bleeding that does not stop with firm pressure.
• A limb is clearly deformed, or there is a bone through the skin.
• There is severe chest, neck or back pain, or difficulty breathing.

Your visit

1. Examination: an English-speaking doctor assesses the injury.
2. Imaging if needed: X-ray or CT scan on site.
3. Treatment: wound care, dressings, splints, pain relief and a tetanus shot if your vaccination is not up to date.
4. Follow-up: advice on wound care and dressing changes during the rest of your trip.

We accept international credit and debit cards. Medical records and invoices are issued in Vietnamese; our staff will explain them in English so you can keep them for your travel insurance claim.
